African countries FIFA world cup 2022

Five African countries are qualified for FIFA World Cup 2022. The Confederation of African Football(CAF) has a total of 54 members. The most important role of the CAF is to organize an international tournament for African countries and to organize the African nations cup.

The Confederation of African Football(CAF) is divided into five parts according to geographical location. 

1. Union of North African Football Federations (UNAF)

Morocco and Tunisia are two countries that have qualified for the Union of North African Football Federations (UNAF).

Ghana and Senegal are two countries that have qualified for the West African Football Union (WAFU-UFOA).

Cameroon has qualified for the Central African Football Federations' Union (UNIFFAC).

In FIFA World Cup history Morocco qualified six times including in 2022; 1970, 1986, 1994, 1998, and 2018. The significant win in FIFA World Cup is  Morocco 3–0 Scotland (Saint-Étienne, France; 23 June 1998).

At present Morocco's FIFA ranking is 22 and the team is led by captain Romain Saiss. The key players are-

In FIFA World Cup history Tunisia qualified six times including in 2022; 1978, 1998, 2002, 2006, and 2018. The significant win in FIFA World Cup is Tunisia 3-1 Mexico in Rosario.

At present Tunisia's FIFA ranking is 30 and the team is led by captain Youssef Msakni. The key players are-

3. Aissa Laidouni (midfielder)

In FIFA World Cup history Ghana qualified four times including in 2022;  2006, and 2010, 2014. The significant win in FIFA World Cup is the Czech Republic 0- 2 Ghana in 2006.

At present Ghana's FIFA ranking is 61 and the team is led by captain Andre Ayew. The key players are-

In FIFA World Cup history Senegal qualified three times including in 2022; 2002, and 2018. The significant win in FIFA World Cup is Senegal 2-1 Sweden in 2002.

Currently, Senegal's FIFA ranking is 18 and the team is led by captain Kalidou Koulibaly. The key players are-

In FIFA World Cup history Cameroon qualified eight times including in 2022; 1982,1990,1994,1998 2002, 2010, and 2014. The significant win in FIFA World Cup is Cameroon 3-1 Romania in Italy.


Currently, Cameroon's FIFA ranking is 43 and the team is led by captain Vincent Aboubakar. The key players are-
