French Soccer Stars in Mind-Blowing Women's World Cup Ad
A captivating advertisement featuring French soccer stars Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann has sparked excitement among soccer fans, particularly with regards to the Women's World Cup.
Telecom company Orange's campaign aims to challenge societal perceptions of women's soccer. In the two-minute ad, viewers are initially treated to a spectacle of seemingly magical soccer skills, including diving headers and curling free kicks performed by Mbappe, Griezmann, and others.
However, a twist awaits.
A message appears on the screen: "Only Les Bleus can give us these emotions. But that's not them you've just seen."
The footage then rewinds, revealing the VFX editing process behind the scenes. It becomes apparent that the skills and goals showcased actually belong to the Les Bleues women's players, such as Sakina Karchaoui and Selma Bacha.
The ad has left fans astounded. "Absolutely bamboozled me. Great ad," shared one fan on Reddit, while a Twitter user described it as "the French commercial that blew our minds."
France, currently ranked fifth by FIFA, will commence their World Cup campaign on July 23 against Jamaica.
