Senegal, the reigning African champions, have been paired with Cameroon for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations finals. Meanwhile, Egypt, boasting a record seven Cup of Nations titles, will face their familiar rivals Ghana in their group during the tournament set to be hosted in the Ivory Coast.

The host nation, Ivory Coast, will contend with Nigeria in what promises to be a spirited Group A, also featuring Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau. Morocco, aiming for a strong showing, has seemingly favorable prospects in Group F, with matches lined up against the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, and Zambia.

Notably, the tournament, scheduled from January 13 to February 11, 2024, will be played across six venues, including newly constructed stadiums in Abidjan, Korhogo, San Pedro, and Yamoussoukro. Originally planned for June, the event was postponed by six months to account for concerns regarding the rainy season in the region.

This marks the third time the Cup of Nations will feature 24 teams, following the 2019 finals in Egypt and the tournament hosted in Cameroon in early 2022. The intense draw sets the stage for an exciting display of football prowess and competitive spirit among the participating African nations.
