Brazil's interim coach, Fernando Diniz, is eagerly anticipating the partnership of Neymar and Vinicius Jr on the field during the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Venezuela. In light of Tite's departure after Brazil's quarter-final exit at the Qatar World Cup, Diniz has taken up temporary charge until Carlo Ancelotti assumes the role next year. Despite this transition, the 49-year-old coach, who also manages Fluminense, is determined to make an impact with the national team and maintain their position atop the South American qualifying competition.

Diniz extolled the exceptional qualities of Neymar and Vinicius, describing them as highly skilled and intelligent players who share a mutual liking for each other. He also acknowledged the talent of Rodrygo, another standout player. The coach's hopes are pinned on their ability to replicate their training ground synergy in the forthcoming game against Venezuela, aiming for a stellar performance.

Vinicius, who generally occupies a similar position to Neymar, rejoins the squad after missing the initial two qualifiers due to injury. Diniz expressed his admiration for Vinicius' remarkable progression in the world of football and expressed optimism that the player will be ready to contribute to the team.

Diniz's primary goal is to strike a balance and foster unity within the team, with the aim of building a highly competitive squad. He observed a positive camaraderie among the players, emphasizing the strong bonds and welcoming atmosphere within the team. This sense of unity, akin to a close-knit family, is believed to be crucial for success.

Brazil is set to host Venezuela in Cuiaba, followed by a match against Uruguay in Montevideo five days later.
