 Inzaghi Appointed Salernitana Manager Amid Poor Form

Salernitana has announced the appointment of Filippo Inzaghi as their new manager, taking over from Paulo Sousa. The decision to replace Sousa was made due to the team's poor performance, which left them winless and in the second-to-last position in the Serie A table. With the hope of avoiding relegation, former Italian international Inzaghi has been entrusted with leading the club.

In a statement, Salernitana officially confirmed the agreement with Filippo Inzaghi, who will assume the role of guiding the first team shortly.

Inzaghi's journey into management began in 2014 with AC Milan, the same club where he concluded his playing career. He has achieved promotion to Serie B with Venezia and guided Benevento to Serie A promotion. Last season, he managed Reggina in Serie B.

Salernitana's upcoming fixture, following the international break, will be against Cagliari, who are also struggling and currently sit at the bottom of the Serie A table, just one point behind Inzaghi's side.
