Manchester City's Unbeaten Streak Ends with Shock Defeat to Wolves, Spurs Edge Out 9-Man Liverpool

Manchester City's remarkable run in the Premier League hit a stumbling block as they suffered their first loss of the season, falling 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers. City had been on a winning streak with six victories in their opening league games. However, a Ruben Dias own goal gave Wolves an early lead, and despite Julian Alvarez's free-kick equalizer, Hwang Hee-chan secured the win for Wolves.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur overcame nine-man Liverpool in a dramatic encounter, winning 2-1. The match saw two Liverpool players sent off, and a disallowed goal due to an incorrect offside call. Joel Matip's late own goal sealed the victory for Spurs, who moved up to second place in the league.

Manchester United's struggles continued as they suffered a 1-0 home loss to Crystal Palace, marking their fourth defeat of the season. Joachim Andersen's early goal secured Palace's win, leaving United in 10th place with their worst-ever start to a Premier League season after seven games.

Arsenal, on the other hand, closed the gap to league leaders City to one point with a dominant 4-0 win at Bournemouth, maintaining their unbeaten start to the season. Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Ben White all found the net for Arsenal.

Luton Town celebrated their first Premier League victory of the season, lifting them out of the bottom three, while Everton struggled to convert chances, ultimately falling to a 1-0 loss. Aston Villa put on an impressive display, with Ollie Watkins scoring a hat-trick in a 6-1 thrashing of Brighton & Hove Albion, moving Villa up to fifth place.

Newcastle United extended their winning streak with a 2-0 victory over Burnley, and West Ham United secured a 2-0 win against Sheffield United at London Stadium.
