Chelsea maintained their grip on the top of the FA Women's Super League with a 5-2 victory over Leicester City, fueled by Lauren James's double. The early minutes saw James and a Courtney Nevin own goal give Chelsea a 2-0 lead. Although Leicester managed to narrow the gap to 2-1 and 3-2, additional goals from James and Agnes Beever-Jones secured the three points for Chelsea.


Arsenal retained their second-place position after a 3-0 triumph over West Ham United. Frida Maanum opened the scoring in the second minute, and Beth Mead, making a notable return from an ACL injury, added two more goals in the first half.


In a late fixture, Manchester City dominated with a 7-0 home win against Tottenham Hotspur, led by Khadija Shaw's outstanding hat-trick. Laura Coombs contributed two goals, while Lauren Hemp and Jill Roord each added one, ending Tottenham's six-match unbeaten streak in the league.


Chelsea remains undefeated, leading the standings with 22 points, three ahead of Arsenal and six ahead of third-placed Manchester City.


Manchester United secured a comfortable 2-0 victory away against Bristol City, placing them fourth in the table with 15 points. Liverpool occupies the fifth spot, one point behind, following a convincing 4-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.


Aston Villa faced a home defeat against Everton despite Rachel Daly's second-half goal. An own goal by Anna Patten and a late penalty from Nathalie Bjorn secured the visitors' victory.
