Juventus announced on Tuesday the extension of Nicolo Fagioli's contract until June 2028. This decision comes in the wake of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) imposing a seven-month ban on the midfielder for violating rules related to betting on matches. Fagioli's initial contract, inked in August 2022, was slated to run until 2026.

In a statement, Juventus expressed their commitment to Fagioli, highlighting his journey with the club since joining at the age of 14 in 2015. The midfielder progressed through the youth ranks and made his senior debut in 2021.

Despite the ban imposed on the 22-year-old, who earned his debut for Italy in a friendly against Albania in November 2022, Juventus remains supportive. The ban, effective from October 19, suggests Fagioli could potentially rejoin the squad towards the end of the season.
