Manchester United's struggling home form has brought their performance under intense scrutiny, with the latest 3-0 defeat to Newcastle United intensifying the pressure on manager Erik Ten Hag. The team's poor run at Old Trafford, marked by two consecutive 3-0 losses and a total of five home defeats out of ten games across all competitions, has left fans disillusioned.

Despite recent narrow victories away from home against Burnley and Sheffield United, the upcoming clash against Fulham poses a significant challenge for the struggling eighth-placed United. Fulham, led by Marco Silva, currently positioned 14th in the league, have also encountered inconsistencies, but are expected to put up a formidable fight in the upcoming fixture.

While Ten Hag initially appeared to reinvigorate the squad last season, securing the League Cup and a commendable third-place finish in the Premier League, the recent downturn has revived concerns about the club's long-term trajectory. Amidst growing criticism, Ten Hag remains steadfast, although the pressure on him continues to mount.

Former United players and analysts have expressed their concerns, with former United defender Gary Neville acknowledging the team's collective struggle and the mounting challenges faced by Ten Hag in the current situation. As the scrutiny on United intensifies, other Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester City have the opportunity to overtake them in the league standings, adding further pressure on Ten Hag and his team to deliver better results in the coming games.

Meanwhile, other fixtures in the Premier League include Liverpool's visit to Luton Town, Aston Villa's game against Nottingham Forest, and Everton's attempt to sustain their recent resurgence as they host Brighton. Sheffield United, positioned at the bottom of the league, seeks to boost morale with a potential win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at home on Saturday.
