Club football has had an exciting year in 2023. Manchester City has won the treble this year. Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund to win the Bundesliga title after a thrilling final day. Barcelona won the title for the first time since 2019. PSG won the title in 5 out of 6 seasons. Diego Maradona's memorable Napoli won the Serie A title for the first time since 1990.


After that, many surprises were seen at the beginning of the new season. After 17 matches, Girona is at the top of La Liga. The unbeaten team in Europe so far is Bayer Leverkusen, who are the top team in the Bundesliga. Aston Villa is showing surprise in the English Premier League. All in all a roller coaster year.


But the most disappointing team of all is probably Arsenal, who have finished at the top of the Premier League for most of the season and have yet to win the league. Despite not winning the league, on the other hand, Arsenal got good news. The team that has seen the biggest jump in squad value this year is Arsenal. The Gunners have reached this height mainly because of their excellent performances in recent times.

Mikel Arteta has turned Arsenal around in recent times. They would have been league champions had they not lost the title in a surprise collapse last season. Arsenal is also the top team this Christmas. The club has invested heavily in youth over the past few years. Now they have started getting the results. Overall, such performances have largely increased the value of Arsenal's squad by €350.5 million


The next team in this list of transfermarket is also from the English Premier League. Saudi-owned Newcastle, emerging as the Premier League's new powerhouse, have seen their squad valued at €191 million. Newcastle's value has increased with the new ownership bringing in the likes of Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Harvey Burns. Also Eddie Howe has done a great job with the team. They also played in the Champions League this season. Although they could not cross the barrier of the group stage.

Real Madrid is the third most successful team in Europe in the market value increase list with 189 million euros. Real has seen such a price increase mainly because of Jude Bellingham, who was bought for 10 million 3 million euros. Bellingham is at the top of the market as of late. Bellingham is now valued at €18 million as per TransferMarket. The price may increase further in the future. Which could also increase the price of Real's overall squad.


Manchester City was the most successful team to win the treble last season. The team that won the treble went on to win the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup later on. Earling Holland has played a great role in the team's way to win the title. Who in terms of price is now jointly above all. City's squad value has increased to €183.45 million due to the team's consistent performances and the individual skill of the players.


The most surprising team in English football in 2023 is Aston Villa. This club is running great under Unai Emery.
