Liverpool's Mohamed Salah suffered an injury during Egypt's Africa Cup of Nations match against Ghana, ending in a 2-2 draw. Salah left the pitch late in the first half but managed to walk off. Mohammed Kudus of Ghana shone with two goals, while Omar Marmoush and Mostafa Mohamed scored for Egypt.

Arsenal's Mohamed Elneny and Crystal Palace's Jordan Ayew featured, with Ghana's hopes now relying on a win against Mozambique for a chance at the last 16. Egypt, needing a win against Cape Verde, could still advance with a draw.

In terms of Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Salah's 28% ownership anxiously awaits injury updates, while Kudus, in 3.5% of squads, might be available for FPL if Ghana exits the group stage.

Meanwhile, Nigeria took a step toward the last 16 with a 1-0 win over Ivory Coast. William Troost-Ekong's penalty secured the victory. Ivory Coast must beat Equatorial Guinea for progress, while Nigeria only needs a draw against Guinea-Bissau to secure a spot in the last 16.

Group standings show Equatorial Guinea leading Group A with 4 points, followed by Nigeria with the same points but a slightly lower goal difference, Ivory Coast with 3 points, and Guinea-Bissau at the bottom with no points.
