Carlo Ancelotti has received an offer from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to coach the country's national team. The news agency AFP confirmed last July that the Italian is going to coach Brazil from the 2024 Copa America. But avoiding Brazil, Ancelotti extended the contract with Real until June 2026 last Friday. Ancelotti said he was delighted to extend his contract as Real Madrid coach until 2026.

If the AFP report is correct, Ancelotti would be Brazil's first foreign coach in 60 years. But the 64-year-old coach talked about the extension of the contract with Real yesterday at the press conference. Real will face Mallorca as hosts in La Liga. The Madrid club will return to the field tonight (Bangladesh time) after the Christmas break.

Ancelotti, who won the Champions League four times as a coach, made Real Madrid the best in Europe twice. Ednaldo Rodríguez was removed from the post of president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on December 7 last year.
