Aston Villa is pleased to confirm the extension of Kerr Smith's association with the club through a new professional contract. Simultaneously, he will embark on a loan spell with St Johnstone until the season's conclusion.

As a Scotland youth international, Smith, a centre-back, arrived at Villa in January 2022 and has consistently featured for the Under-21s in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy this season. The promising player, previously associated with Dundee United, is set to contribute to St Johnstone's endeavors as they currently occupy the 10th position in the Scottish Premiership.
