Nottingham Forest Football Club has appealed the decision of an independent Commission to impose a four-point deduction on the club, after admitting a breach of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

The club lodged the appeal today to the Chair of the Judicial Panel, who will appoint an Appeal Board to hear the case.

The Chair of the Judicial Panel will appoint an Appeal Board comprising three members, one of whom should have held a judicial office, to hear the case.

Similar to the Commission, the Appeal Board's proceedings will be confidential and held in private.

The Appeal Board holds wide discretion regarding the appeal, with the authority to allow, dismiss, or modify the Commission's decision as it deems appropriate.

As per Premier League Rule W.82.2, the final decision of the Appeal Board, once concluded, will be made public on the Premier League’s website.
