Fantasy Premier League managers are celebrating Jean-Philippe Mateta's stellar performance in Double Gameweek 34, where he amassed a remarkable 29 points. The Crystal Palace forward emerged as the top scorer of the week, attracting over 511,000 managers to his side after his impressive display.


Mateta's standout performance saw him netting two goals and providing an assist in Crystal Palace's victories over West Ham United and Newcastle United. Under the guidance of new head coach Oliver Glasner, Mateta has flourished, leading the team with eight goals and 12 big chances since Gameweek 26.


Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze also caught the eye of FPL managers, delivering an impressive 11-point haul in the victory against West Ham United. Despite only managing three points in the midweek fixture, Eze's contributions under Glasner have been noteworthy, with 24 shots and 16 chances created since the coach's arrival.

However, Liverpool's Luis Diaz failed to live up to expectations, blanking in both of his Double Gameweek 34 matches, much to the disappointment of FPL managers.


In terms of chips played, over 1.2 million managers utilized their chips to maximize points in Double Gameweek 34. The Triple Captain chip was the most popular choice, followed by Bench Boost, Free Hit, and Wildcard.
