Morocco seems to have been transformed into a disaster zone due to a devastating earthquake. Over 2,000 people have lost their lives in this earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8. The number of injured individuals is also significant, with many of them becoming homeless.

In the aftermath of the earthquake, various international organizations and professionals have come forward to assist those affected by the disaster. Among them, Cristiano Ronaldo has extended his helping hand to support the victims. Ronaldo's hotel, under the ownership of Moroccan hotels, has opened its doors to provide shelter for the earthquake-affected people.

The hotel, named Pestana CR7 Save Marrakesh, is part of a global chain of hotels, with one branch located in the city of Marrakesh, Morocco. This hotel, consisting of 174 rooms, is now being used as a refuge center for the earthquake victims, rather than for commercial purposes.

Not only Ronaldo but also star footballers from Morocco's national team have stood by the side of the affected people in their country. Injured individuals have received blood donations from these football players.

Moroccan football star Achraf Hakimi took to social media and wrote, "We are all going through a tough time. Now is the time to help each other and save as many lives as possible. To those who have lost their loved ones, our heartfelt condolences." Similarly, both Sofiane Amrabat and Hakim Ziyech, two other Moroccan footballers, have called for prayers for their country and its people.

On another note, the earthquake has disrupted the Morocco-Liberia African Cup of Nations qualifying match.
