Over the weekend in European soccer leagues, several noteworthy events took place:

GERMANY - GOALS GALORE

Bundesliga fans were treated to another weekend of goal-rich action. Serhou Guirassy of VfB Stuttgart scored twice in their 3-1 victory over Darmstadt 98, taking his season tally to an impressive 10 goals in just five games. This achievement equaled a Bundesliga record for the best start, previously held by Robert Lewandowski.

Harry Kane, the star forward for Bayern Munich, secured a milestone of his own with a double in their dominant 7-0 win over VfL Bochum. Kane became the first Bayern player to score seven goals in his first five matches for the club.

Bayer Leverkusen's new signing, Victor Boniface, also made his mark in the record books by scoring twice in their 4-1 win over promoted side Heidenheim. This feat matched the club record for the most goals in the first five league games of a season.

ITALY - ARNAUTOVIC'S INJURY PUTS PRESSURE ON INTER'S FRONT ROW

In Italy, Inter Milan faced a setback as their striker Marko Arnautovic had to leave the match early due to a muscle injury during their 1-0 win over Empoli. He is expected to be sidelined for several weeks. Manager Simone Inzaghi expressed his disappointment, acknowledging Arnautovic's importance to the team.

With Arnautovic out of action, Inter will rely on Lautaro Martinez, Alexis Sanchez, and Marcus Thuram in their forward line until at least the international break at the start of October. This injury puts added pressure on their attacking options.

FRANCE - PSG FINALLY WITH A CLEAR PLAYING STYLE UNDER LUIS ENRIQUE

In Ligue 1, Paris St Germain (PSG) showed signs of finding their playing style after a slow start to the season. Coach Luis Enrique has been implementing a 'Tika Taka' style of play, which paid dividends in their recent matches. PSG secured a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and followed it up with a dominant 4-0 win over Olympique de Marseille.

The team left the pitch with newfound confidence, and strikers Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani found the back of the net for the first time this season.

SPAIN - SIMEONE GETS ATLETICO A STATEMENT WIN AGAINST REAL MADRID

In Spain, Alvaro Morata's brace propelled Atletico Madrid to a resounding 3-1 victory over city rivals Real Madrid in a derby match. This win was significant, as it marked only the second victory for Atletico in their last 13 derbies against Real Madrid. Real Madrid's dominance in the Spanish capital had been a challenge for Diego Simeone's side in recent years.

Sunday's impressive victory could provide a major confidence boost for Atletico as they navigate the early stages of the season.
