Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland, currently playing for Manchester City, has extended a generous offer to support fans of his former club Bryne FK. Bryne, competing in the playoffs for the first time since 2006 with a chance of promotion to Norway's Eliteserien, will benefit from Haaland covering the expenses of approximately 200 fans' train trips, totaling around NOK 175,000 ($16,000).

Recognizing the financial challenges faced by many, Bryne's marketing manager, Bjorn Hagerud Roken, expressed gratitude for Haaland's gesture, stating that it provides more fans with the opportunity to attend the crucial playoff game. Haaland, who began his football journey in Bryne's youth ranks before making his way to the first team in 2016, has since played for Molde, RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund, and joined Premier League club Manchester City in 2022.
