The Brazilian national football team has been providing a temporary coach for about 13 months. Last Friday, after sacking Fernando Diniz, Brazil was once again without a coach.

However, Reuters and AFP reported on the same day that the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is finally going to appoint a permanent coach. Dorival Jr. is at the top of the organization's preferred list.

Today, Brazil's top media "O Globo" also informed that Dorival is going to be the new coach of Neymar-Vinicius. CBF president Ednaldo Rodriguez himself contacted Dorival. The talks between the two sides have also been very fruitful. If all goes well, the official announcement will come by Wednesday.

The 61-year-old Dorival is currently the head coach of Brazilian club Sao Paulo. He has a contract with the club until December 31 this year. However, Brazil's sports-based TV channel TNT Sports says that Dorival will cancel the contract based on an agreement with Sao Paulo by tomorrow Monday. The Sao Paulo authorities are currently in a meeting to find a new coach.

Dorival comes from a football family. His uncle Dudu played for the Brazil national team from 1965 to 1968. Dorival's coaching career is also full of experience. In 22 years, he has stood in the dugout of almost all the top clubs in Brazil, including Sao Paulo, Santos, Fluminense, Flamengo, Palmeiras. He is taking the lead of the national team in the difficult times of the country's football.
