Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, commended his team's unwavering determination as they staged an impressive comeback from a 2-0 deficit to secure a 2-2 draw against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday, maintaining their unbeaten streak.

Throughout much of the match, Arsenal struggled to match the energy of a lively Chelsea side, appearing sluggish and lacking their typical dynamism.

Chelsea took the lead through a 15th-minute Cole Palmer penalty and extended their advantage three minutes into the second half with a well-executed lofted strike by Mykhailo Mudryk.

Arteta emphasized the resilience of his players in response to Chelsea's second goal, highlighting their remarkable spirit and tenacity during the game.

Reflecting on the performance, Arteta acknowledged the team's initial struggles, citing a lack of purpose and clarity along with a failure to dominate duels in crucial areas. He emphasized the critical role of these elements in determining the team's overall effectiveness, underlining the need for consistent high-quality performance to avoid becoming an average side.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's manager, Mauricio Pochettino, who shares a close bond with Arteta from their days as teammates at Paris St Germain over two decades ago, viewed the result as a missed opportunity rather than a hard-earned point against a formidable opponent.

Until Declan Rice capitalized on a distribution error by Chelsea keeper Robert Sanchez, Chelsea had maintained control of the game, leaving Pochettino disappointed with the squandered advantage.

Arsenal's late resurgence, with a goal from Leandro Trossard in the final minutes, exposed vulnerabilities in Chelsea's defense, prompting the Argentine to stress the inevitability of mistakes in football. While emphasizing the need for better decision-making and improved game-reading, he reaffirmed the team's commitment to their philosophy despite the need for more precise execution.

Following the draw, Arsenal reclaimed the second spot in the Premier League standings, trailing league leaders Manchester City on goal difference. Chelsea, on the other hand, climbed to the ninth position, seeking to maintain their momentum in the upcoming fixtures.
